Biography

Billy Jack Williams is an internationally known composer and producer.

He's considered throughout the dance music community as one of the genre's most talented, true-to-art lyricists.

With two of his biggest underground classics "Warehouse (Days Of Glory)" and "Party Children" under his belt, Billy Jack has assembled an extensive repertoire of songs through solo composition or collaboration.

Billy Jack's collaborated with artists such as Malik Hart, Jeannie Tracy, Charles Dockins, Rick Lenoir (LNR, Thompson & Lenoir), Kevin Elliott (Mindreaders), Dana Stovall ("Brighter Days", Cajual Records), Chris Gray, E- Smooth, Robyx, Vel-Silk, New Deep Society, Tad Robinson and others.

Tyree Cooper was one of the first people to introduce Billy to the Chicago house scene. Billy quickly became a major contributor to the music style that he'd become obsessed with.

In 1989 Williams formed New Deep Society featuring Tad Robinson, former lead vocalist of the group Big Shoulders. NDS also featured keyboardist Tommy Johnson, brother of Jessie Johnson of The Time. Willie Phillips contributed his skills as a former Muddy Waters band guitarist.

Shortly after Johnson departed the group, NDS achieved success with the hit single "Warehouse (Days Of Glory)", which was remixed by E-Smooth. Critical House Records initially released the hit and it was soon followed by "Party Children", a top 10 single in Europe released on Touch of Gold/Polygram/France, ZYX and several other labels. "A Better Day" (House Jam Records) and "Call It Love" (DC-10) were hits in the U.S. that soon followed.

Chicago's critically-acclaimed Hot-Mix Five DJ Edward "Get Down" Crosby introduced Billy Jack to Mirage Entertainment president Rick Lenoir. Lenoir wrote the hit "Work It To The Bone" and was impressed with Billy's writing skills. He persuaded him to join Mirage as a production staff writer. For the next 2 years, Billy proved his worth and wrote hits like "Jazzy" (Nicole Willis), "Spell" (Shey Alexander) and "Love In A Mean World" (Black Traxx 5 EP). Billy Jack eventually left Mirage to spend more time with his own publishing company Mylo Blue Music and Publishing.

After his initial string of successes, Billy later teamed up with Chicago producer Kevin Elliott in 1993. The duo went on to pen the U.K. house athem "Living My Life Underground", which was released on Detroit's 430 West Records.

Today, Billy Jack Williams' songs are still being played globally. He currently writes and produces for a variety of talent artists. He is a true innovator, producer, lyricist, and composer of the music style we all love called House.
